ABOUT TEACHER TRAINING
Power4 Pilates Teacher Training program is designed to provide aspiring instructors with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to become certified Pilates professionals. What sets our program apart is the comprehensive approach to training. Throughout four weekends (Friday-Sunday), students will master all essential Pilates modules: Mat, Reformer, Jumpboard Springboard, Exo-chair, Cadillac, TRX, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. These in-person sessions are thoughtfully spread over eight weeks, giving participants ample time to study, practice, and integrate their learning between weekends.
After completing the modular training, participants can attend our exclusive, 2-day, 8-hour workshop, Instructor Fundamentals, unique to Power4 Pilates. Before attending, students must fulfill prerequisites, including 20 hours of observation, 20 hours of self-practice, and 10 hours of practice teaching. This hands-on workshop focuses on practical application through skill drills, class structure for Reformer Flow, appropriate class-level adjustments, and modifications for special populations. It also emphasizes embodying the qualities and characteristics of a truly exceptional Pilates instructor. Each participant will have the opportunity to teach a 20-minute class segment, followed by real-time coaching and feedback from a Certified Lead Instructor. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate.
To further your journey toward certification, you'll also begin the specialized 100-hour Anatomy of Pilates online course, which delves into the essential anatomical knowledge required for effective teaching.
At Power4 Pilates, we offer the opportunity to interview for an Apprentice Instructor position. Successful candidates receive personalized development programs that prepare them for teaching on the schedule. Each program is tailored to enhance strengths, address areas for growth, and ensure the completion of the required certification hours.
